แน่นอนว่า ถ้าคุณทานในปริมาณมาก ๆ อย่างต่อเนื่องเป็นระยะเวลานานๆ อาจทำให้เกิดร้อนใน, เหงือกร่น, ใจสั่น เนื่องจากกระชายขาวมีฤทธิ์ร้อน แนะนำว่า ควรบริโภคในปริมาณที่พอดีจะดีกว่า หรือผู้ที่มีโรคประจำตัว ควรปรึกษาแพทย์ก่อนดีที่สุดค่ะ
ปลูกกระชายขาวช่วงไหน ถึงจะเหมาะสม
ช่วงที่เหมาะสมคือ ช่วงฤดูฝน (ปลายเดือนเมษายน-พฤษภาคม) กระชายขาวชอบอากาศที่ร้อนชื้น ไม่ชอบแสงแดดจัดๆ ชอบแสงรำไร ดินที่เหมาะกับการเพาะปลูกคือ ดินร่วนปนทราย ไม่ชอบดินเหนียว ดินกรวด และดินลูกรัง
วิธีการปลูกกระชาย
อุปกรณ์และส่วนผสมที่ต้องเตรียม
กระถางสูงสำหรับใส่กระชายขาว (ความลึกประมาณ 15 ซม. ห้ามต่ำกว่านี้)
หัวหรือเหง้ากระชายขาว พันธุ์รากกล้วย (พันธุ์นี้จะได้รากที่อวบ ใหญ่ ยาว)
ดินที่ผ่านการตากแดดผสมปูนขาวเล็กน้อย
ขี้ไก่เก่า
กากมะพร้าวสับ
ฟาง
น้ำ
วิธีการปลูกกระชายขาวในกระถาง
1. นำกากมะพร้าวสับ ใส่ลงไปในกระถางที่ต้องการปลูก (กระถางควรมีความลึก 15 เซนติเมตร ไม่ควรต่ำกว่านี้ ยิ่งลึกเท่าไหร่ยิ่งดี)
2. ใส่ดินเก่าที่ผ่านการตากแดดผสมด้วยปูนขาวลงไป ที่ต้องผสมปูนขาว เพราะต้องการฆ่าเชื้อ (ดิน ควรใส่ปริมาณครึ่งหนึ่งของกระถางปลูก) แต่ถ้าคุณซื้อดินแบบถุงมา ถ้าดินมีลักษณะก้อนใหญ่ที่ไม่สามารถละลายหรือเป็นเศษดินได้ ให้นำออกให้หมด เพื่อที่รากกระชายขาวจะได้ลงไปได้ง่ายขึ้น คุณจะได้หัวกระชายขาวที่อวบ ใหญ่ ยาว สวย
3. จากนั้น โรยด้วยขี้ไก่เก่าประมาณ 1 กระป๋องนม หรือประมาณ 2 ขีด และคลุกเคล้าให้เข้ากัน ทำไมต้องทำให้เข้ากัน เพราะถ้ารากกระชายขาวลงไปเจอขี้ไก่ล้วนๆ รากจะเน่าเปื่อย นั่นเอง เราจะเรียกวิธีนี้ว่า การรองก้นหลุม ถ้าใครชอบปลูกในดินมากกว่าการปลูกในกระถาง ให้ใส่ขี้ไก่เก่าประมาณ 1 หลุมหรือ 2 ขีด
